WHENLIFESUCKS.org's annual Sandbag Challenge is coming to Furman University next to Timmons Arena (Greenville, South Carolina) on Saturday, June 24th, 2017. The event is brought to you by REACH Wounded Veterans Program.
100% of the proceeds go to the WhenLifeSucks.org Foundation, a non-profit organization that helps veterans and their families heal from trauma and live well.
All About Our Sandbag Challenge
At WhenLifeSucks.org we have experienced personally how obstacles in life can be downright messy, dirty, and nasty at times. As you take part in the WhenLifeSucks Sandbag Challenge, you join an amazing team of people to help veterans and their families conquer the challenges associated with traumatic stress, pain, depression, anxiety, lifestyle diseases, and financial instability. Our Run is more than a metaphor for overcoming struggles in life. It is an opportunity to bring out the best in you and others. Discover how fun, purpose, belief, team work, and inspiration come to together to conquer something you didn’t know was possible.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
All levels of athletic ability and experience can participate, however you should be prepared to walk/run the equivalent of 4 miles in order to meet the demands of the course. Find your Motivation, Train smart, Overcome self-doubt, and Run for a Purpose that matters. You can do it!
Each runner must sign a waiver at registration on Saturday, June 24th. Runners 17 years of age and below must have a signed permission slip by a parent or legal guardian and be accompanied by an adult in order to participate.
Choose to run as an individual or form a team of 4 people.
RACE STARTS AT 8 AM. You can register on race day starting at 7 am and race times will be given at that time. Those runners that registered online will be emailed their race times.
There are no refunds. Registration is a donation to the WhenLifeSucks Foundation. Teams can substitute runners.
ALL RUNNERS WHO COMPLETE THE COURSE WILL RECEIVE A MEDAL AND QUALIFY FOR PRIZE DRAWINGS.
